Long-distance move from Montreal, QC to Burnaby, BC

Do not recommend

They have hidden cost that don't say at first, they charge you extra for new items even though you are under the weight you agreed, they don't tell you all the policies at first! I ended up paying twice as I had agreed at first!

Long-distance move from Calgary, AB to Toronto, ON

Absolutely terrible. Do not book with them.

Terrible customer service, terrible deliver service, and lots of delays.

The customer service and the quality of the service are incredibly disappointing.

A staff member from dispatch named Zoe/Zoey told me I could “cancel my move” and hung up on me after telling me that my pick-up date was getting moved a day later. They gave me only a 24-hr notice which caused me fees to reschedule my flight and hotel fees. I escalated my complaint to the manager Amelia who was equally unhelpful. She said that they gave me $50 off and that my complaint has been “addressed”. I complained about her staff’s attitude among other things, and she did not offer any apology until I reminded her that this situation demands an apology.

They also delayed my drop-off date by a day due to the truck needing inspection.

The condition in which they delivered my items to me was dirty and they did not deliver all of my items.

Long-distance move from Montreal-Ouest, QC to Vancouver, BC

Moving service.

We signed up with Atlanntis Vanlines and they signed up in a short time and arranged the pick up. Everything went on schedule and it took 16-17 days for our stuff to reach Vancouver as against 21 days which they said. It was good. In fact the prices were good and there was no over charging. There was an extra warehouse fees which was not there in estimate and they gave refund immediately.

Long-distance move from Ontario to Nova Scotia

Move from Ontario to Nova Scotia

If I vould put 0 stars I would. I hired this company and I regret that decision. They tell you a price then only give you something in writing after giving a deposit. They dont tell you until after that if your weight is less than the quoted weight you will still be charged for the quoted rate. The price they gave me was supposed to have been with storage as I knew it would be at least 4 months till I would have a home to move to. Well I get an email saying I need to pay $1,125 / month for storage. What choice do i have but to pay.

Ince I had my house I had some renovations to do. I asked to have my things be here March 31st so I wouldn't incur more storage fees. I was told the truck was leaving Ontario March 20th and would arrive 3-10 days after with only a 24 hour notice of delivery. I asked if there was another later date. I was told April 20-15th departure date but I would have to pay for another full month storage fee. I agreed to the March delivery. I askef the person I had been dealing with since the beginning if she could not get a route schedule and tell me roughly when my things might arrive. I asked 3 times

Each time I never got an answer. Just that she would get back to me. So I never got a csll, but the 2 ither contacts I had on file were called by the driver. I calked the company to get an answer. They wanted the remaining balance to be paid or thry wouldn't deliver my things. I wanted to see the condition of those things before I paid. Nope. So to get my things I had to pay 1st.

The next day when my things arrived I knew wht6. There were so many things broken and damaged. They wouldn't put my bixes in the basement ssying it was too dangerous to do so. I was supposed to do it myself. I'm 61 years old and have 2 knee replacements. That is why I hired a moving company. The head honcho told me I could hire someone to put the boxes and totes up and down. I said I had, Atlantis. Then when I called the office and started yelling they needed to fulfill their obligations the head honcho told me that it was ground floor to ground floor. I said that there was no diffetence in the stairs compared to my home in Ontario and the movers there took thing up from basement and down from the 2nd floor. The "big chief" said that was a courtesy and that they didn't have to do it. I also stated becauseof the rain that these 2 movers were now bringing in water and mud on the new hardwood floors. She told meI could get a mop and clean up after they were done. That if they put something on the floors that they could slip. I said that if they didn't do something that they would be replacing the hardwood because getting wet would warp the wood. It went right up there with the 2 men asking if I had red cones to put by the truck because it was on the road. WTH? Those things should be in the truck normaly.

Also because I caused a stink they refused to take boxes upstairs now and the stairs are more than 3' wide.

The conditions of my belongings was horrible. Boxes ripped , bbq cover torn in 3 different spotsmy antique china cabinet no longer had the bubble wrap on that was put on in Ontario. The top trim piece was not only broken but missing. The moose garden statue that holds great sentimental value has both antlers broken and head cracked and damage on the body. The other major thing was the paper that was taped to the fender of my motorcycle with packing tape that displayed my name. That definitely was not there when it left my house! So now the tape won't come off without damaging the metallic fleck paint on my motorcycle. The 2 rear signal lights were broken. One was hanging and the 2nd only had the wires . This company has no conscience when it comes to theircustomers belongings. I am terrified of what else I'm going to find.

Long-distance move from Fort McMurray, AB to Halifax, NS

SCAMMERS!!! NOT WORTH IT

Here's my personal experience with this company hold your seat.

After being given a window of when they would come relocating from Alberta to Nova Scotia it came close to the day I was going to rent my house.

The driver called me and said he had a few pick-ups in my city and I was last. He also requested if I know anyone to help load his truck as his helper broke his leg.

With the tenants moving into my house 2 days later I requested a co-worker to help me as he was on days off, I took a day off we loaded it with the driver.

Before the driver left we started discussing the weight overages etc. he informed me it was .88 cents per lb or something. He also said if I paid him 200$ he could guarantee that I wouldn't see overage charges. So after myself and a co-worker loaded the truck with a bylaw officer present because he was blocking the street for a few hours I sent an email money transfer for 200$ to the driver.

We were moving into a new house and the closing date was delayed by 6 weeks, part of the reason for choosing this company was because of the 1-month storage included.

My wife called them and spoke with them about the delay and they responded that's fine, let us know 3-9 days before you need it and it'll come from Toronto.

Without notice, the moving company called and said we have your stuff out for delivery now, obviously thinking this is a joke.

My wife immediately called them and they stated "you have no proof that we were told to put it in storage" your stuff is in Halifax and we'll leave it on the lawn of the address and called her a LIAR. They also stated it would be going on the front lawn of the given address - a house under construction...

The moving company denied that I loaded the moving truck with a coworker. Bylaws and my coworker could easily support this! see pictures for EMT, Texts etc.

Luckily I have a friend living on the street so we had it unloaded in his garage.

The problems we have so far upon delivery are: Mattress covers, couch covers were put on all items. They're tight fit and obviously were ripped off during the moves as our 3000$ leather couch is destroyed.

They just stated we have 10 days to inspect all items and ensure they're there. Well, it's going to be one pain to work in a friend's garage and audit this as we have 23 days now until possession.

Many stickers fell off while loading this so one can only assume not all items are there

Long story short - For the first time in my life I paid movers lol and I ended up paying them to move my stuff. I was hit with 1000$ overages got a bunch of stuff back ruined, my wife got called a liar and we received our stuff far too early because they obviously didn't want to give us the month's storage the worst part is denying I did the work myself with a bylaw officer supervising who would be easy to contact to support as well!

As we have 2 small kids the house we're moving into now will be the last for many years.

I would NEVER in my life consider hiring these people again.

See picture for email Money transfer to the driver, texts to a coworker asking to help, and stickers fell off.

I'll keep writing reviews and updating pictures for the next while!

The Absolute WORST

They left without saying a word and had just dropped the last of our things in the garage, not even to the rooms. Broke many items. Had boxes labelled "Fragile" laying at the bottom of piles of boxes. Called the head office midway into the move to complain, they were horrifically rude and disrespectful. I am beyond dismayed with the "work" they did. SAVE YOURSELVES, DO NOT USE THIS MOVER EVER!!!

Long-distance move from Delta, BC to Winnipeg, MB

Disastrous experience.

My experience with using Atlanntis Van Lines for moving my stuff from Delta, BC to Winnipeg, MB is a nightmare so far with no sign of delivery even after 1 month of pickup. On the expected delivery time(January 16, 2019) I got a call from driver to arrange for the draft as delivery will be done on January 17, 2019. But the next day I was told that there is a mistake at the dispatch office and the stuff being delivered is not mine. Since then it has been more than 10 days and I have no idea about the whereabouts of my stuff. For one week I was told that the delivery is being delayed due to bad weather in BC, and later on I was being told that there is a breakdown in truck and it will take another 2-3 weeks for delivery. My experience with this company has been a worst experience so far. The company penalize customers if they are responsible for delay in pickup or delivery. The company has no compensation policy for such long delays. Till now there is a delay of 3 weeks in the delivery and still I don't know when I will get my belongings. I have no idea how this company is getting so good testimonials on its website or 'A' grade rating. With most of the warm clothes and beddings lying in company's truck, me and my family are subjected to harsh winter of Winnipeg. It's my strong advice to all future customers not to use this moving company. Their testimonials and rating all seems fraud.

Atlanntis Van Lines -- The Worst Company I've Ever Dealt With.

I am not one to write reviews, but the way Atlanntis Van Lines tried to swindle me warrants one..and, eventually, a trip to court.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Their tone changes completely after they have your money.
I dealt with Emily Tucker for my move. She was polite, courteous, and seemingly happy to help BEFORE she had my deposit. The way she explained everything made sense, and the pricing looked reasonable. I know not to fall for any traps, so I repeatedly would confirm details with Emily (timeframes, added costs, payment methods, etc.). All seemed well..and then I sent a deposit. That's when thing started to drastically shift: now there was an added cost for going up and down stairs (but before, Emily had said a booked-off elevator would be fine!), the times were different (two days earlier than before -- so now, since I wouldn't be in town, a $300 "storage fee"), and my quote had gone up hundreds.
They also added in extra cost -- and it wasn't cheap -- for added weight to the stuff I was moving. Emily said I had exceeded my 500lbs. limit, which is utterly impossible: all Atlanntis Van Lines moved for me was a bicycle, a mirror, and a couch.
I disputed all of the above..and Emily said "show me written proof those things were said." Most of our conversations had been phone calls before (I know, naive me), so I was hooped.
Had to eventually suck up the added costs because they already had my money. They added a "scale fee", a "long carry fee", and a hefty extra tax I've never heard of -- all of which was never mentioned before they had my deposit.
Emily was actually able to waive one fee for me! When I calculated the math of all of my taxes and confronted her about the mistake she had made, she apologized for the "typo" (which -- surprise! -- would have cost me money) and nixed it. Very professional stuff.
When I told Emily that I would consult legal advice (which is currently happening!), she said "who would ever believe you?" What I have to gain by lying about some random company is beyond me.
I just couldn't believe how much this seems like two different companies -- one before deposit, one after.
The actual movers were sub-par, but I wasn't expecting much. I can deal with a small scratch in my couch fabric -- what I can't deal with is the lying an complete and utter dishonesty from Atlanntis Van Lines.
Again -- I NEVER write customer service reviews but really wished someone would have warned me before I went into business with these humans. How they sleep at night taking advantage of moving people, who are already in a desperate place in their life, is beyond me.

Long-distance move from Calgary, AB to Toronto, ON

Covered semi - legal business. AVOID THEM.

I hired this company last July to move my household goods from Alberta to Ontario. I was talking to Vicky and she re-assured me that my stuff will be shipped by a truck. That was the first lie: they ship by the railroad. We scheduled the picking up time between 3 pm and 6 pm. However, they came at 11 am and I was not ready and needed to pack the rest. That was the mess; however, the worst part was at the delivery time.. They did not provide the certified scale weight and presented me the price that was $2000 more than we agreed. I protested and they said: "Sorry, we re-weighted one more time and it comes $1000 less". They refused even to open a truck before I paid. They damaged 30% of my furniture and half of boxes: my clothes were out of boxes in the truck and everywhere inside. 6 bookcases were broken into to small pieces! Leather sofas were torn off, three broken mirrors, 10 missing boxes, missing bikes ( $2700 - for one). Broken speakers. However, they uploaded other people stuff. What is very interesting: they did not "loose" boxes with inexpensive clothes: the only boxes that contains valuables were "lost". For example: office stuff - laptop, speakers, key-board etc - they were packed into three different boxes and they were "lost" as a whole unit. Interesting, right? I submitted a claim promptly as they requested with the whole inventory missing, detailed pictures of damaged and broken goods with an estimation prices. They disappeared: they did not answer the phone or replied to my e-mails. I have not heard from them since August 4, 2018.

BBB - they screwed me up; when I submitted a complain, they did not posted it and asked me to call the police.

To conclude: moving business is a semi-legal business. They can accidentally take your items with no punishment at all. I have red a lot reviews about many different moving companies and came to conclusion: it does not matter if you pay $2000 or $10.000 - they will screw you up.

Long-distance move from Calgary, AB to Vancouver, BC

Dropped my stuff in the lobby of the apartment and left.

I hired Atlanntis Van Lines to move my belongings from Alberta to British Columbia. The 2 movers arrived at our apartment and moved about half of my belongings up to our apartment using the elevator.

Halfway through the move, the 2 movers broke the elevator and refused to carry the remaining items up the stairs; however, they continued to unload the truck into the lobby of the apartment.

The 2 movers REFUSED to wait for an elevator repair man, they REFUSED to carry my belongings up the stairs, and then LEFT ALL my stuff in the lobby of the apartment and left.

They said they would return to finish the job but that NEVER happened, they didn’t answer my calls and they never call me back or returned to finish the job.

I spent the afternoon waiting for the elevator repairman and carrying the remaining items up the elevator myself.

To make things worse, I have a long list of items damaged and I haven’t even finished unpacking yet.

Long-distance move from Toronto, ON to Nanaimo, BC

Avoid unless you want to have damaged and missing items on delivery.

We hired Atlanntis Van Lines to move us from Toronto to Nanaimo.

The crew responsible for loading packing the boxes into the truck and those responsible for removing/unloading the items at destination from the truck were exceptional. Great crews that were short staffed for the task at hand.
They treated our possessions with extreme care. I too assisted them with both the loading and unloading process.

According to the moving crew, they found that the boxes and goods were extremely well packed. They too indicated that they were impressed by the packing job.
Strange how our boxes were labeled as Fragile took the most abuse. And that items/boxes were labelled with our Name and Mailing Address were found to be missing.
Each box/item that was shipped, had at least 2 typed Mailing Address Labels (complete Contact Information) attached in addition to the Yellow Inventory labels that were placed on our belongings prior to leaving our residence.

What happened in-between in transit is another story.
The issue is the mishandling and abuse that our possessions sustained while in transit.

When the exterior of packaging is visibly (damaged, ripped, shredded, crushed, battered, broken, security tags cutoff, etc.) due to mishandling and negligence.
Atlanntis Van Lines refuses to accept responsibility, instead claiming owner packed as the cause of damage and missing boxes/items.
Photos were sent to Atlanntis Van Lines showing all the damage to the exterior of boxes and their contents that were well padded.

Long-distance move from Hamilton, ON to Edmonton, AB

Successful cross-Canada move.

I used Atlanntis for my Ontario-to-Alberta move and we pulled it off without a hitch. It was a fairly modest, 1-bedroom move with 12 totes, bed & frame, and a few other furniture pieces, but everything was accounted for and arrived unharmed : ). I was pretty nervous after reading some of these reviews but nothing was damaged. They were transparent with me and had good communication response times etc. Lastly, they also have very good rates, as far as I can tell. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars, is that they estimate inventory as heavier than what I think the real average would be. This costs more, but is not a huge problem considering their otherwise cheap cost.

Long-distance move from Toronto, ON to Montreal, QC

Unbelievly amazing experience with the move!

I was helping my Mom move from Toronto to Montreal at the end of June 2019. This is a very busy time for a move, especially in Montreal. I started to look for movers in March/April and worried about the process until our move was final on June 22.

Now that the move is complete, I am simply AMAZED at the experience I had with Atlanntis Van Lines. I looked at reviews on their website and on the Better Business Bureau. I felt comfortable to move ahead. It was their incredibly efficient and professional service that blew me out of the water.

Let's start at the beginning. I had called a number of companies to get quotes. When I spoke to Emily Tucker at Atlanntis Van Lines, she took her time to explain the moving process and to answer my many questions. I was so impressed with the transparency and honest responses she provided. She was very knowledgeable about the moving operation, how the weighing scale works etc. felt comfortable to go with this company. I had follow-up questions and they were promptly responded the next day or she was usually available to respond to me via the phone. I know they are busy so I am even more grateful that they take time to take care of their customers.

I confirmed the moving dates and information. It surprised me that I didn't even need to put down a deposit. It was all based on trust. At this point, I was feeling more comfortable with the company.

Then, the day of the pick-up and delivery. I was told by dispatch that the movers would come between 11-2pm. They came at 12:30pm and loaded my Mom's contents (1 bedroom) in an hour! I had never seen this level of efficiency and care they took for our items. We moved a shrine (very important to my Mom). We had already bubble wrapped it ourselves but they took the extra care to bubble wrap it again and added a blanket. The moving team, led by Ahmad were amazing. They all had a different role and each knew how to fulfill it well!

The pick-up happened on a Friday at 12:30pm. The dropoff happened the next morning at 9am! Other companies I spoke to told me it would take 2-3 days and they could not guarantee the exact days. So, the movers came to deliver the contents, unwrapped the blankets and it only took them an hour! Erol and Kia were very friendly and happy movers. They were also very efficient and professional in their work!

I am still in awe at how easy, on-time, helpful, and smooth this move has been for us. These are not adjectives I would use with my previous moving experiences. Also, there was a miscalculation on my quote/final bill. I called to clarify and Emily Tucker quickly looked into the matter and settled it in real-time.

Thank you to your team of great employees: Emily Tucker, Ahmad and his team, Erol, and Kia!

Long-distance move from Calgary, AB to Niagara Falls, ON

Cross Canada Move.

This is probably the worst moving company we ever dealt with. They showed up late for pick up and were still loading after dark. ( they were supposed to be there between 11&3. After our stuff was picked up, according to their quote it was to be taken and weighed and we were to receive a printed invoice of what the charges were. We did not receive this, and did not receive the actual amount until the day before delivery, even though I made numerous calls to get this information. Even though we supplied them with a list of items to be moved their over the phone estimate wasn't even close to what we were charged. In addition when the truck arrived to deliver our stuff they attempted to add an additional $500.00 for a stair fee even though I was told ahead of time that it would be between $200 & $300. The damage they did to our furniture and items was unbelievable and after contacting them about it I was asked if we packed our items ourselves. I stated yes and was told it was therefore not insured for damages
So I guess if you pack yourself it gives them free reign to treat your belongings with the utmost disdain. Nice. We would never use this company again nor recommend to others. Even though we did do a check to see if they were reliable I guess it depends on you description of reliable.

Long-distance move from Montreal, QC to Toronto, ON

Do not hire this company.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Their customer service is so bad it's almost criminal.

We moved from Montreal to Toronto on August 28, 2019. Our quote was decent to begin with, but ballooned to almost three times that amount based on the weight of our stuff, which I will mention was a one-bedroom apartment's worth (for a couple). The pickup window was missed by several hours, which we are aware sometimes happens and were prepared for. However, the movers themselves were incredibly rude and told us that moving them mattress was "our job, not theirs". We witnessed them drop and break a family heirloom chair, which had been taped back together when it arrived in Montreal.

Delivery was relatively quick in Toronto, and was on time. However, multiple boxes of things we need for daily living were missing from the delivery. When we reported this to dispatch (Emily was our rep) and followed the necessary claims process, we never heard back. We have now called every few days for approximately six weeks with no news on where our stuff is. Every time we call, we are told that they will be "asking the warehouse men" where the stuff is, and we never receive a call back. We are incredibly frustrated that no measures are being taken to find our stuff. On many occasions, dispatch has actually gotten angry at us for asking about the status of our boxes. It's actually crazy.

We are understanding people, and we know that these things occasionally happen. However, the way that we are being treated by customer care has completely ruined this experience for us. Do not hire this company.

Long-distance move from Edmonton, AB to Toronto, ON

Worst Company Ever.

I WOULD LEAVE 0 STARS IF I COULD.

I contacted Atlanntis Van Lines for my move from Edmonton to Toronto in late July 2019. They picked up my items on on August 3, 2019. I began to get suspicious about the nature of this company when the men who came to move my things were being very rough with my boxes. I stood there and politely asked them to be gentle and they grumbled and obliged. I was told the delivery date for my items in Toronto would be August 15th by a customer service agent. When I arrived in Toronto on the 15th and contacted the company about when the delivery would be, I was told by the same agent that this was simply the day when they would being to TRANSPORT my items, and that my things would be delivered later the next week. I am not sure the exact day my items arrived, it was either the 22nd or 23rd of August. But to have my items for almost an entire month for a drive that takes two days was ridiculous. I begin to unpack my things, and I notice they smell strange. The towels felt stale. On top of this, a few of my boxes arrived completely opened, and more were bashed around and falling apart. They clearly were not treated with respect. Most of my items were okay, except the one box I was praying that they wouldn't damage. It contained some unique and special items that I cannot replace. I contacted the company about my damaged items and sent me a claim form to fill out. They then told me they would respond to the claim within 6-8 weeks. I thought this was a long time, but I was willing to be patient and wait. It is now November 1st, and I have just received my claim back. It has been 10 weeks. I have been extremely patient and have tried very hard to work with these people. They are only willing to compensate me 15$ for my damaged items, as I had packed the box myself (which was lined with thick cloth towels I may add, and the lid of the box was all but ripped off when I received it). At this point, it isn't even about the money, it's about the sheer disrespect they have made me endure. I do not want anyone to ever have to go through what I have ever again with these people.

I would leave zero or negative stars if it were possible. The most disgusting company to deal with. Rude obnoxious sales staff. Dispatcher is one step above licking windows. They do not return inquiries as to tracking or phone calls as to tracking. Took a month for our household goods to arrive. Changed the quote last minute to over double the initial quoted rate. Held our goods hostage because they did not let anyone know when they would deliver and threatened to leave while waiting for an etransfer despite the fact it was sent and confirmed. Disgusting and deplorable.

Long-distance move from Coquitlam, BC to Winnipeg, MB

Coquitlam to Winnipeg.

Despite what many of these reviews would lead you to believe, Atlanntis Van Lines is the premier company for LTL moves. I made my move from Coquitlam in December of 2019, moving a room's worth of furniture. As a college student, I did not have a large amount of furniture or possessions to move, and so the 1000lb minimum quotes made by other competitors were far too high for my liking. Thus, we decided to work with Atlanntis.

Emily and Liz were my two head office reps that helped me through the entire process, and they were very friendly and helpful every time that we inquired about both the status of my move and any other questions I might have had. The day the movers were scheduled to arrive, they arrived on-time and were very quick and efficient. They inventoried my items, and provided me with copies of all the necessary paperwork.

As an LTL company, Atlanntis' quotes are far cheaper than their competition. A caveat to this, of course, is that shipments take far longer to leave their origin city as they wait to fill their trailers, hence the month-long (on average) wait for your possessions. Anybody making an order with Atlanntis MUST be aware of this fact, and expect that their possessions will be delivered in about a month's time from pick-up.

Once my items arrived in Winnipeg, we were given a four-day window (January 16-20) for my items to be delivered. Initially, they had scheduled for the 17th, but due to terrible weather conditions, they rescheduled for delivery on the 18th. During this entire process, communication was fantastic, and I was never left guessing about the whereabouts of my items.

Finally, everything arrived in perfect shape (just as I had sent them off in). No damage to any of my possessions (aside from a Rubbermaid container which may have cracked in the cold, not from being tossed around; everything inside was alright). Overall, my experience with Atlanntis was fantastic, and believe me when I say that many of these negative reviews have more to do with negligence on part of the customer rather than the company.

Long-distance move from Coquitlam, BC to Winnipeg, MB

Move from Coquitlam to Winnipeg.

I sought out this company via a search for moving companies, to help my son move his furniture from his dorm like room(after finishing university), back home. From the start, I was dealing with Liz and Emily. Both were very helpful and kind. Both were also very clear as to what the service entailed and what the cost would be. Before his belongings were picked up we were told the cost, and what the charges would be for some special packaging we requested. A deposit was charged and were told an approximate time of delivery (which was about a month after pickup). The pickup was on time, and went off without a hitch.

About a week before the approximate delivery date, we were given a window of 4 days for it to come, and because of a snowstorm the first day, it was rescheduled for the next day. We were kept apprised of the whole situation.

Once the driver was an hour away we received a phone call to let us know and he was at the delivery point on time. Nothing was damaged, and everything was received that we shipped. And at the end of the day, the final charges were correct as told to us.

I would recommend this company to anyone who is moving a smaller load of belongings(less then truckload). Of course, you have to realize that in order for Atlanntis to be able to run a viable business, and make money, their aim is to be moving a full trailer(multiple households). Which is why it takes a month to receive their belongings. As far as complaints about the cost being higher than quoted, I think that would be the customers miscalculation of their own goods. When my son shipped, we were very specific about what he had to move.

Regardless, I highly recommend them as a moving company.

Long-distance move from Regina, SK to Victoria, BC

Movers are good. Customer Services? - No, never heard about this.

I contracted Atlanntis Van Services for moving services from Regina, SK to Victoria, BC. I would recommend for anyone considering hiring this company to be aware of the following: the initial quote is very misleading as it provides estimated based on 3000 lb weight; the pick-up and delivery dates are beyond your control; be vigilant with the final invoice; and (this is still causing some pain in my case) the Client Services are beyond any reasonable expectations. A misleading quote: although the initial quote provided through the on-line application seems attractive, one should expect that it will triple at the end. Atlanntis will ask to fill a detailed inventory form to determine "the minimum weight" baseline. This, most likely, will inflate the final bill by at least 100%. Be aware that additional charges could be added (read fine prints) even if the services have not been provided. The pick-up/delivery dates: the company's policy wording is tricky as it does not give exact dates and incorporates some extra time in-between. For example, the pick-up date is within a one week period. The delivery date is never specified; instead, it gives "Dates truck departs from origin province (these are not delivery dates)." In my case, there have been ten days between the pick-up week date and departure time from the original province. Final bill: CHECK IT TWICE and compare it to initial estimates. My "final" invoice included the cost of storage for no reason and eliminated a 5% discount offered under the terms of a contract. Client Services: the company lost THREE boxes during the move. Following the company's policy, I filed a claim which supposed to be resolved within 6-8 weeks (this is by itself is a timeframe that can create trust issues with the company). Any follow-up attempts to communicate with Atlanntis on the status of my claim were utterly unsuccessful (no calls returned or letters answered). It is still radio silence after 13 weeks since the company accepted the claim. Highly disappointed. My recommendation based on my own experience with Atlanntis? Do not deal with this "service provider" as it DOES NOT "takes great care in the quality of service that our customers receive." Atlanntis Van Lines IS NOT "dedicated to providing relocation services built on trust and integrity.".

International move from Halifax, NS to Los Angeles, CA

Hidden fees left and right.

> You have an extra 5 boxes to ship on moving day? $500! Without even seeing or weighing. Don't want to pay? "we can cancel, but you'll owe us $1,800" is not what you want to deal with on moving day. "We're giving you a deal here, it's heavily discounted sir"

> Your cross-country move is coming in 2hrs (after 5 days of silence), your payment is due in FULL NOW. Oh not convenient? We're dropping your entire household somewhere for you to pick up for an extra charge.

> You want to pay by credit card? 3% surcharge! Maybe you can run to the bank and get cash?"($4,938)

Atlanntis Van Lines is a fraud.

Long-distance move from Guelph, ON to Sherwood Park, AB

Overpriced and under delivered.

Moved from ON to AB with this company as they appeared legitimate online at first. However once they picked up our items and had them in their vehicle things took a drastic turn. We asked for the status of when our items would arrive and they became hostile and dismissive. The driver was 3 hours late to deliver with NO attempt to let us know (it came at 9PM in the evening so it would of been nice to have been prepared). The driver was extremely aggressive as soon as he got out of the truck. It was myself, my wife, and my mother in the beginning and the driver immediately demanded we give him (at first $500) $300 cash or else he threatened to leave ALL our belongings outside in the pouring rain. The driver pretended he didn't know how to drive the truck into the space, though he had no problem doing it once he started to do it. Once my father arrived the driver changed his attitude, interestingly enough. When I informed the company about it they took zero responsibility and when you ask them to speak to a manager or someone higher in the company they ignore your emails or hang up the phone on you. I wrote this review as people need to be aware of these kind of scammers.

Keep looking

Bad experience.

-Delivery took longer than expected.

- I was told by 2 different people that I didn't have to be present during drop off. Only on the day of delivery was I told I did need to be there.

-IWAS there during the window of delivery but they were late and I had to go back to work. Then they threatened to charge a fee because I wasn't there.

- my things were piled up on the edge of the deck whereI asked them to be left. My large trunk was actually hanging half off the stairs.

- my table legs were not delivered. I filed a claim, and after 6 MONTHS, and only after I contacted them again, I was offered $15 for my unusable table.

Not much good to say about these guys. If you're shopping around for shippers, keep looking.

Move from Winnipeg to Saint John

I begrudgingly gave them one star because zero is not an option. This was the worst company I have ever dealt with. I chose them because their estimate was cheapest, and I am kicking myself over it. Their ridiculous fees and hidden charges are criminal. I have no idea how they are still in business. They are uncommunicative, argumentative and rude. Do not use this company. It would have been cheaper and easier to raise a horse, teach it to pull a wagon, load your stuff into that wagon, and then drive it across the country yourself.

Hired Atlanntis

Do not hire this company unless you want to pay thousands more, have broken stuff and missing items. Items that went missing are things we cannot replace (like cases of special scotch and 25 year old rum). Do not hire this company. No integrity and they do not delivery when they are scheduled to. Very disappointed with this company. This is CRIMINAL.
